Kerala – problem of cleaning after floods
1. 1. vessel cleaning
2.
Individual cleaning is
laborious. Keep a chembu, varpu, uruli, or very large plastic / aluminum /
steel / copper vessel.
3.
Keep all the plates. , glasses, spoons and cutlery, small steel and
aluminum vessels in the order that they do not break.
4.
Pour 2-3 or more liquid Vim or
Pril along with 3-4 table spoon of
Dettol or savlon
5.
Fill the vessel with boiling
water.
6.
Keep it for half hour or even
one or two hours since there is so much dirt on the because of the flood water
.
7.
When the water cools down ,
scrub them with steel wool or cleaning brushes.
8.
You can fix a steel scrub on
the brush m to clean . It will be easier
and hand will not get wet and dirty.
2. FLOOR
CLEANING
Mix water with the liquid Vim or Pril along with Dettol or savlon
Pour over the entire floor.
Leave for half an hour.
Just wash with clean water with long brush
.
Do not pour liquid vim or Pril from the
bottle onto the floor.
It is very concentrated and very slippery
and you may fall.
When you allow it to soak and remain there
for sometime it dissolves all the dirt and not strenuous work is required .
3. For cleaning car, walls, windows, doors , window glass, burners ,
furniture, etc this solution is useful .
4. CLOTH CLEANING
The same solution but use hot or cold water depending on the
material.
Salt and vinegar also can be added to it. Color
will not run .
5. Salt , vinegar, Dettol and savlon has
antibiotic properties and liquid soaps cleanses better than powder or bar soap
and do not leave any residue . So washing is easier .
Hot water
washes better than cold water. People will not catch cold by dipping their hand in cold water specially when the climate is so cold .
