NATIVES OF THE LAND

All  land has their own natives. Gradually people from other countries come to occupy these lands for various reasons. Some acquire small pieces of land. Some  become owners of vast  lands. After many generations of co-operations and mutual assistance, suddenly on one fine morning if the natives say, “ this is our land . Others have no authority . “

Suddenly the situation becomes grave. All harmony and friendships are destroyed at the instigation of some non virtuous elements, it will be disastrous for the whole land irrespective of nationality. As the rain and sun and wind benefits all, our controlled behaviour controls our prosperity  . Without control , however sophisticated the instrument or technique or machinery be,  the outcome will not be of any use .The natives as well as immigrants nurture each other in all circumstances . The moment rivalry starts , all are doomed .

How do Indians want to be treated in other countries. Same way let us also treat others in our country . We Indians, when we are abroad consider those countries close to our heart, same way other nationalities come and stay here out of their admiration and love for us !!! Can we tell them , “ Do not love us or our country. Hate us  “ .

This is what we tell all non Indians  or sometimes non Hindus . Our ancient culture and traditions laugh at us though we may not sense it . Our leaders in religious, political , cultural areas watch over us and will be dismayed by our callous brutality or will they bestow applauds  and encourage us in the new path of unity to surge ahead to a new  better tomorrow . Jeremiah 29 : 7 .  " Seek the peace of the city ,
where I have caused you to be carried away captive !!!, 
and pray to God for it ; for in its peace , you will have peace " . This applies to all people in all countries which are not their  " native land ". Like , a good neighbour is better than a far away brother or sister, we  benefit from the people we are surrounded by where we live. Therefore if it   possible , as much as depends on you , live peaceably with all men. That is all we can do where ever we are , in your own country or in another country .

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD

In the present world , do we get a still moment day or night .

Constantly we are bombarded with sounds of horn of vehicle passing by, sound of processions for various purposes, sound of bombs and shooting, shouting crowds  for no reason at all, ( you ask them the reason, they may not know )  and the agonised cries of the multitude of nationalities all over the most advanced, sophisticated world of ours . All religion and culture advocate silence for a healthy body, mind and spirit and also for proper thinking and probing the vital matters of personal, national matters . Can any one child or  adult concentrate well amidst the tumultuous noise and commotion of the surroundings .The sound of a balloon or toy distracts the child. The sound of unions , protesters, adversaries keep people in constant worry and tension.

Is there a solution which we all can practice .

Envision  a still and beautiful world or a world resonating with the bombs, shooting, agonised cries . We can make that if we sincerely desire . We give space and conducive atmosphere to enliven the divine qualities or we can chase out the " still small voice " of the divine by  bombshell sounds of our power and the consequent  destructive noise  and tearful agonised faces . Our elected trusted leaders  make the decision .
