THE MOST PRECOIUS PEARL
Can each one of us consider yourself and the other person , a most precious pearl. Whether we consider it
or not each one is precious as the most valuable pearl. Ask a couple who have
no children ? Ask a widow or a widower ?
Ask a fatherless or motherless child ?
Ask anyone in an
orphanage or old age home ?
When we have all
the people around us, we differentiate according to some formulas and equations
and ill treat them. Once they get an award or recognition or they pass away
suddenly, that very moment a lightning
pain or agonized feeling pass through your mind. You feel as if you lost your
very life. What is that ? Why is that
feeling occurring ?
The moment you loose that which you had taken
for granted and abused and abandoned suddenly becomes your very life. Only very
few people feel that what they possess is the worst. Most of the people value highly
what they have. They honor the vows they make whether it is with black or fair
, fat or lean, singer or IT, teacher or doctor. In business, teaching ,
the profession of doctor or nurse, we do not exchange our positions, How can a
teacher and student exchange positions ? How can a doctor and patient exchange
positions ?
How can a parents
and children exchange positions? All these weird ideas cannot be fulfilled by
priests and bishops, doctors or scientists or politicians. Is there any modern
scientific method after all these experiments ???? Instead of bringing up
harmonious families and better persons , what have they produced ?? When we do
everything to prevent world wars, what are the priests and spiritual leaders
doing to people under their care ? Are
they putting burden on the people or are they bearing the burden themselves for
which they are appointed and anointed and empowered ? In the nation of India,
each and everyone , whether they stay in cities or mountains or beaches or valleys,
they are all Indians. In Budhism, every one is a Buddha. In Hinduism, everyone
is a Hindu. In Christianity, who are we
? Is everyone a Christ ?Or having Chirst like virtues ? Are we in the infant
Christ stage or preaching and healing stage or nailed to the cross stage, or with empty cross with resurrected Christ
continuing in healing, protecting, comforting, teaching, nurturing stage. Do
the depiction of Krishna always as a
baby fleeing the persecution or looked after by the adopted parents or at
Kurukshetra war, or on playing with gopikas ? Is Budha depicted as Gautham as
prince or Budha under Bodhi tree or Budha going round preaching and healing.
Each one can select the position
according to their desire, but do not impose that on others. Let each do as
representative or replica of that person. Imposing and dramatizing and
torturing still is IRRELEVANT. We must
take the TEACHINGS / IDEALS/ THE CORE PRINCIPLES / THE ULTIMATE PRINCIPLES they have upheld and left behind for us. Why
should the old and the young play drama torturing others.
Be the change you want to be.
Be the leader
/idol/ model you want to be.
Be the character
you want to be.
Show others , you
will get their applaud .
Be a model , they
will follow.
Be the teacher so that they will flock to hear
you.
Only when you
drag others to fill in your mold, very
often it will be a misfit . Give freedom and space, they all will bloom to their
highest potential .
In Japan, in olden
days, they used to keep the feet in
small wooden shoes so that the feet will not grow . How painful it is. And they could never walk properly, leave
alone join Olympics. They are now
among the World’s best athletes and
scientific inventors. If any seed is wrapped up tightly and kept in the soil, it can never grow into
a fruitful plant or tree because the sprout cannot break through the strong
covering.
At the same time
even after 5000 or 6000 years, seeds can sprout and grow when favorable condition
and atmosphere is provided. We can decide
the freedom we can allot to our children, spouses, students, employees,
servants in factories, agricultural
fields, hospitals, offices. When freedom
is utilized in a mature way, all will be astonished at the fruitfulness of it
and when used in devious manner we will be really astonished at how wicked
those people were . How powerful is freedom , wisdom, integrity and trust .
Every pearl has a
story to tell. Some irritants are occurring naturally. Some irritants are
introduced by people to do experiment with
or without the knowledge of people. Even when we advance so much in all
fields, the innate nature of cruelty and atrocity , we can rarely overcome.
Self discipline has to be instilled in us by our parents, or we must have the
will power and the desire like Daniel to determine in our own mind that we will
not defile ourselves in any manner. Very few people have mastered their mind
but are very eager to conquer and destroy others mind and body and brain. Every
pearl has a story to tell. It starts with a very minor irritant as small as a
tiny particle of sand which is of no value and is
wide spread all over the long stretch of beaches all over the world and cover
every inch of land. But how the the
mollusk react to this tiny irritant is beyond comprehension and its value is
immense. There are not a single human being devoid of pleasant, marvelous
experiences as well as minor and major irritants, some natural and some man
made, even thrusted upon innocent by
others. Sometimes it is beyond our capabilities to carry their heavy
burdens which they pass on to others
shoulders so that they can escape from their responsibilities. They practice
their authority to put the burden on others !! Some get squashed under the burden. Some
develop beautiful pearls of great value and then the buyers will be numerous.
There are no one devoid of some irritants or difficulties which we can cover
with good thoughts, noble feelings, enlightened thoughts, generous attitude and
nurture this tiny sand and the enzymes produced by the body of the mollusk and human beings make it lustrous and glorious.
The thoughts we generate in our mind is
expressed on our face and in our body , instilling diseases or luminous shine
or withered appearance or blooming excellence.
The only thing people forget is that nature itself can give the whole
thing back to them who pass their responsibilities onto the shoulder of others in
the twinkling of an eye. They receive back all they were dumping on others
.That is the law of nature.
Civilizations come and spread gloriously. But when wickedness mar the behavior
and dealings, the mighty civilizations disappear due to some cause which we may
or may not know. Nature has her own way of dealing with attitudes and behavior
of humanity. Even animals and plants respond to human attitude. The five
elements and the Creator knows much more and is always in control watching how
far they will “ play “ . Even the waves and the wind obey. When he says thus
far, the mighty waves do not dare to cross the limit. The ” life “ we are endowed with wait patiently to
see what each one will make of it. Will it be a pearl or gold or fruitful or
waste or barren or honorable and worthy. Authority and freedom and resources
are at our disposal. For assistance we
are given parents, teachers, priests ,
government and administrators. Let us co-operate and make use of these great
resources and bring out a beautiful tomorrow for ourselves and for the
future
generations.
