When you are satisfied  …..  Deutronomy 6 : 1-25

When is our  state of contentment ?

Have we achieved it in our life time, or in any time of our lifetime ?

One factor which enables us or at least help us in achieving contentment and fulfillment is when we  are in conformity with the rules and regulations which procure the necessary    atmosphere and environment to make it happen. The accepted norms become laws and then the laws regulate the society on these accepted and proven commandments. Therefore adherence to these commonly respected rules must be given due respect and must be admonished that all follow them for the ultimate benefit of the society.  Just a single person, a single stone thrown at a person or car, can result in utter chaos resulting in  violence to man and property and to the economic stability of the country.

1.     The trust in your God and following the characteristic of that God , solves all problems. There are no evil Gods.

2.     Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

3.     Do not take God’s name in  vain.

How we swear on God’s name without any respect for the name. We never like our name to be added to anything frivolous  and trivial  or used for amusement and entertainment of others. You want your name to be taken with due respect and honour which you think you deserve, you think is your fundamental right in a democratic republic in the 21 st century.

4.     I am a jealous God.

( This jealous nature is not as our comprehension of jealousy.  If your child is snatched away by cruel people, what will the mother do ?  Here the similarity of a shepherd comes in. The nature of the true shepherd and the false shepherd are described in Ezekiel 34:1-10 and 11-

The same jealousy for retrieval is described in Isaiah 52, 61, 63, 64 etc

The Book of Malachai shows how the holy institution of priesthood and family  have deteriorated and remain so, even in the 21 st century with all sophistication and advancement in knowledge, skill and technology, but lacking proper understanding of human mind, with all its emotional, psychological , spiritual thirst for fulfillment within the freedom of family  and for the upliftment of society eradicating false notions and traditions with mutual respect   and appreciation. It is high time that all search the scriptures , since all are literate.  )

5.     Honour you father and mother that it may be well with you.

It  appears so superfluous to tell mature, knowledgeable sons and daughters that they must honor their own father and mother. How come it had to be so specified and admonished to all generations. Genesis 6: 5,6 says,  “ Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of the  man was so great in the earth,

And that every intent of this heart was only evil continuously and the Lord was sorry that He has made man on this earth  and He was grieved in His heart. “

If our founding fathers of our nation come to visit us, will they be delighted to see that we have preserved and enhanced and nurtured the principles of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. Will they be thrilled that Gandhji’s Harijans and the deposed royalty , the common men and women and children are enjoying the dignity , which is  their  due in the free India. All their prison life, their abdicating their luxurious life and donating their family heritage,  and career for the liberty  of their fellow men , has it brought forth the desired result or will they repent that they labored in vain. W    hen we do something, we want the acknowledgement. But we cannot forget the ways in which we have reached thus far and we have the responsibility to pave the way for the future generations to aspire and achieve their dreams, leaving enough of desirable treasures and skills and technology with which they can achieve higher heights, so that they can look back and exclaim, “ Our fathers and forefathers have left us such a rich, noble legacy that we are eternally indebted to their traditions  and performances.

6.     You shall not murder.

This appears to be so frivolous to tell adult people that they should not murder. Everybody knows , even small children know. B         ut because the adult often seem to forget it,  it is proclaimed as a rule !!. Murder can be with lethal weapons,  can be character assassination, can be   murdering with violent vocabulary and with high tones and frequencies !! Modern revelation  that the water is very responsive to the words of kindness, love, or hatred and abuse,  and correspondingly since our body is 70 % water, naturally we can conclude that the con tent, the volume, the pitch, the emotion hidden in it are also affecting favorably or detrimentally our body, mind and soul. The physical wounds heal, with proper  care and rest but how to heal the mental agony and torture. On y those who have undergone them, can feel it , specially if the torturing was just to know whether deep down in  the heart there is wickedness which we are covering and pretending to be good !!! How the experiments have gone up on  human beings by the specialists. Emotional quotient, suffering quotient, perseverance quotient, stamina, hunger, thirst and implanting chips to know what is going on  in the mind to make sure that one is evil or not ,  the modern experiments goes on   unwanted things. The only solution and remedy is love and trust. Then all aspects of life proceed smoothly in confidence, in  peace and harmony. How much time, money,  man hours are wasted for these silly experiments. Let us build a families, societies, factories, offices, government based on trust, faithfulness, justice, liberty, freedom and human dignity.

7.     You shall not commit adultery.

This is definitely to adult married men and women !!!Therefore each and every man and woman decide for themselves to indulge in  this or not.

8.     You shall not steal.

We always admonish our children not to steal . At the same time  we break it ourselves in high places. With self discipline we can completely prevent it.

9.    You shall not bear false witness against you neighbor.

 10.   You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife,

      you shall not desire your neighbour’s house,

his man servant,

his maid servant,

his ox, his donkey, or anything that is your neighbours.   

( In modern times, the possession of people has increased so much, that it is difficult to name all. Some still grab not only neighbours possessions b ut the possession of strangers, foreigners,  even body, mind  , spirit, talents, etc are at stake. Let us be content to work and earn what we need since all opportunities and raw materials, instrumentation, technology, skilled man power, monetary resources etc are at our disposal.

Apart from these ten simple rules, which we can easily follow, provided we have  little diligence and self control,  all other things we can pursue and  live a normal contented life. If we do not meddle with others life, without any provocation  from their part, we are behaving  criminally, interfering with their privacy and freedom to live in our free country. Following these simple rules will make the society crime free, nations devoid of war, family in perfect unity. What more do we need ?  The key is with each of us.  One misbehaving cell causes cancer- in society as in our body.  One broken part makes the whole body lean to that side to protect and support it to relieve of the pain and pressure so that it regains normalcy fast.  The cry of the innocent flow through out eternity as the  “ OM, AUM “ once pronounced goes on and on throughout eternity.  How much we should be careful. The people who understood these principles and practiced were not as civilized or educated or technology savvy as we are at present. All the sermons, preaches, shouting, crying, laughter, merry making, as well as torture sounds have their own place in eternity.

These instructions has to be in your heart. If we print it, hewn it  on stone , or write on wooden planks, but do not know and practice it, it will be like buying the prescribed medicine but not using it.  For ourselves, for our children’s sake let us take determine effort to fulfill all correct measures to ensure safety and security of our future generation….

The funniest part is that when we do these, our mind is at rest. Our family is at peace. Our society thrive. Everything will be well with us in all spheres of life.  If we do not do, the  repercussions are also for ourselves only !!!

Another important thing is that we should maintain that peace, prosperity and harmony, specially when we are enjoying all the benefits bountifully….. The temptation to go astray is so much that it really destroys the weak personalities. They want to experiment to see whether they can manipulate to make some commit unwanted things. Just be wary of them and resist and determine in  your mind that you will keep yourself pure as Daniel dis and others will not be able to over power you.  It is a very difficult world where evil lurks , so be on constant vigil to protect yourself and your loved ones.  Until the day we can trust whole heartedly, we must be vigilant. Will that day come ? It can come if we decide.

For the continuity of maintenance of peace, all these simple rules must be transmitted to the next generation and they in turn to their descendants and so on. When we send our children to school, the teachers will start from the very beginning , all the alphabets and numbers. They never say that because your father and mother know these, we will  not teach you the alphabets and the numbers. Will they say, ‘Let us start with the theorms  or with Shakespearean dramas ? Hence the importance of all moral and spiritual laws also  to be taught to all children for a strong, confident, vibrant, just and noble personality development. If they are morally right and strong, they can overcome all temptations on personal life, business life, research life, office or government life and gradually the whole world will come to take notice of this just, noble, righteous, fair - dealing  country and they would like to have friendship and business and educational and research ventures together with us . The world has enough and more material goods, precious stones, oil and natural gas,  The world need men and women  who will stand up for righteousness , integrity,  so that the world peace is attained  and maintained without  without an other world war, but by following simple rules of everyday life in their own respective countries so that one country’s peace does not become an other country’s

responsibility and burden. Can another person be in charge of your family ? If so , your family life is doomed.  Same with countries also. Will anybody give authority of their company or school or factory to any strangers who have no grasp of the institutions concerned !!!!! Then why do people interfere with other families and personal life. Who gave them authority .  Will they take orders from strangers.

Where is freedom?

Where is liberty ?

 Where is independence of India ?

Is it turning feudal ?????????

Who are the feudal lords ?

Someone who has resurrected from the past ?

150 crores to blot out the tears of family of the missing

The ease and urgency of issuing the cheques.  When we have to remit any amount to the government or to the bank or to LIC, we should be prompt and punctual. When issuing the ‘ con solation ‘  money for the Union carbide tragedy, for the  ‘ missing men “ in fishermen tragedy, or the missing or perished fishermen in cyclone , the compensation money is instantly allotted by the government. Government and concerned authorities are so prompt in releasing the crores of rupees. But it seems we need “ stenting “ to remove the block of the passage through which the money has to flow.  It can be done instantaneously by the bank if the names and the amount of money to be distributed is  given to them. Nowadays the educational loan, medical expense are instantaneously given by the government. ( or are they really doing it ) Bringing the body of the fishermen in the ship -  boat accident  to confirm the actual death of these fishermen is baffling. How can people be so callous. After 12 years, government want the wives to present the dead body of their husbands !! The burden of the wives has no end. The LIC money also meet with the same “ wonderful “ reasoning so that they can avoid the LIC             money  from being paid to the family of the bereaved .  All helping hands are there in the  advertisement but the hands are shortened to reach the needy ON TIME . Who will give the account of the Rs. 150 crores and who will reproduce the receipts !!! Will the press publish that also along with the information of the rescue work that is progressing relentlessly. The govt, the navy, coast guard , police, fellow fishermen all are doing their level best. The money matter also,  if settled and published , would have brought  comfort and consolation to the bereaved families in any accident or natural disaster. Usually the follow up never take place and even after 12 years of the death of the fishermen, 34 years after the union carbide accident,  many more years after the death of defense personnel etc drag on the payment line and the families, children ‘s education, medical  allowance/ payment form LIC  etc are waiting for just execution at the proper time, when it is urgently needed.

With the 150 crores, the whole sea shore where the fishermen live will become a healthy and pleasant place to live, men equipped with modern boats and boys with proper training for modern fishing as well as modern fisheries for fish farming and prawn farming, pearl farming, lobster farming , and processing units for seafood and pearl harvesting and processing !!! The men who lost their lives will be enthralled to see all the developments on their shores, shores transformed with proper houses, medical clinics, rescue operation facilities , local equipment to give off siren or broadcasting announcement straight from the meteorological centeers about the impending cyclone so that it can be heard in the whole locality. Then the officials will be free from the fault of not informing at the proper time ! Meteorological centers can directly announce the messages of warning of natural disasters . Like the agricultural farmers , if we pay more attention to the fishing, pearl farms , export will increase in leaps and bounds. All sea food are so in high demand within the country as well as internationally  . Keeping high standard will bring in abundance of  foreign exchange.

Consider the seeds we sow everyday , at home, in the schools and colleges, in factories, in hospitals,  in market places, in play grounds, in temples,  churches, mosques , gurudwaras  etc ….  Once the seeds are sown, we do not get the fruits the next day or next month. Each seed has  got its own time to deliver the fruits.

But they will definitely show forth at the correct time.

In the scientific field, we are enjoying the fruit of our labor in medical, electric, electronic, educational, physical and mental wellness, transportation methods,

Agriculture, engineering and architectural innovations , production of electricity from water, wind, sun , volcanoes etc … Solar air planes have become a reality. Prevention of so many diseases by vaccination saves so many lives of  human beings, animals, fishes, plants,  corals etc …  Even the soil is being enriched in various organic and inorganic ways. We take so much care of our houses,

auto mobiles and other machineries.

Let us look into our personal care schedule.  If you light a candle  or a cigarette and hold a paper or card board above it, we can see how much soot accumulates on it. If you keep on collecting the soot from thirty or forty cigarette or candles, you will be amazed by the amount of soot produced !!! and if it is adhering to our tender lungs, it will block all the pores through which the air passes and give the walls a black painting which will completely forbid the air to pass through

And hence no absorption of oxygen or dispelling of carbon di oxide takes place.

Our alimentary     tissues are so absorbent. We use alcohol or wine to marinate the meat, so that they become tender and easy to cook . Consumption of fermented drinks will have the same effect on these tissues. Still we relish them. When we soak the fruits in wine for cakes, not even the ants will eat it !!! Because we bake it at high temperature , the adverse effect is eliminated  and   we can have them without the  bad  effects on our alimentary  system.

The individual and personal characteristics  ( seeds )  that we develop in our children at home and in schools and colleges, in churches, temples and mosques have far reaching consequences in their life as well as in the well being of our society and nation and world at large. Each child will bring his or her special good or not so good characteristics to schools and other social gatherings, hostels, play grounds  and gradually to business, government services, trade unions,  factories, market places and wherever they work and spread these ideas and qualities to whomsoever they come in contact with. Therefore  we must develop such habits and traditions which will benefit our society and ultimately mankind.  When we bring accolades, it is for our family and our nation. When  we are kind we are kind to our own soul and it affect the wellbeing of others indirectly. When we are at peace with ourselves, when we are contented and happy, it appears that the whole world is at peace and everybody is having their share of happiness and contentment.

If we are practicing brotherly love , we will not bite and devour each other, lest we  are consumed by one another. In each country there are citizens of different religion or different group of the same religion and different sub group of that religion  ( as the political party leaders  forms new parties just as children when they grow up form their own families and professions or may live in other countries with other nationalities ) These are bound to happen but there is no reason to be angry and jealous about it. The world has enough and more  room  for every one , provided they put in little effort to fulfill their ambitions and aspirations without strangling and smothering others. How can all the mango or papaya of the same tree be of same color, size  and shape.  Even our own children are so different in color, nature, character, talents, achievements , their voices, their hair straight or curly, 

Their height all are different. If as parents we cannot achieve that much for our children, why should we find fault with others capabilities and  nature. Basically all are created good, later on we draw out the negative or positive qualities of that person depending on your  treatment or behavior. Most of the time giving in same coin may work, and not let others take advantage of you unnecessarily .

In the religious perspective, all seem to like to follow the ancient pattern, which was followed by people who were illiterate , who had no glimpse of the modern development, who could not discern right or wrong ( only the sages had the vision and knowledge ) . Now we know what they meant by doing certain rituals

The meaning of certain actions, what is the genuine behavior that is expected of them, how to understand the psychological impact of their behavior on children,  young adults, women, widow, elderly people, gentlemen and ladies, what is expected of teachers, ministers in government  and religion. The dignity for each person as a human being is clearly  given in Vedas and Bible. Since adherence to moral rules are personal and sanctified , each has to take full responsibility  of personal behavior and it is expected of all adults. Now if we take the true meaning and purpose behind all the religious rules, we can prevent so many retributions proposed in them, since prevention is better than cure.  Once  we know this we have to be alert always just as when we walk on the road, we are conscious of the vehicles and pedestrians and the zeebra crossing  and  knowing is not enough, we have to practice it constantly , every minute we walk or drive on the road. One moment of negligence is  disastrous to self as well as for others.  In the play ground, how  vigilant are the players, lest they loose the match. If we keep something for cooking or baking,  how we keep the time for perfect results.

If we are so conscious and vigilant about all these everyday life, how much more we should be alert about the human relationship.  They are so precious as well as delicate  and valuable than the  traffic regulations, or laws of chemical reactions,  or the principles of philosophy or the measurements  and laws of mathematics. Can we alter the mathematic calculations ? Can we alter the sacred rules of family or  priesthood ?  Who will build a house  or multistoried building , obliterating the architectural laws ? Nobody buy a car or bike and them twist or destroy or strike and break the glasses . How much care goes into the upkeep of the vehicles we buy. Do we take that much or one tenth of this sort of care for family members. If so the wife will look after the husband and vice versa, instead of beating or scolding and how happy the children would have been if only they were given as much care as the bikes or cars or music systems.

Let us sow good seeds in our political arena, in our business and other work places, above all in our family life and educational field. As we progress in scientific, medical,  agricultural, space science, keep a little time and care for family and specially for children . Our seed, our  children bear our  dreams to fruition, but what are our dreams   . Do they have to pay for it by their life and by their dignity, specially the girl children.  When will our children feel that they are more valuable than the car or bike owned by their father, or better appreciated than the father’s  peer  group or clique. Let us consider ourselves more civilized as we progress in technological fields, with better medicines, better trains and better planes, better submarines, better artificial intelligence so that family members and neighbors, society and nation can enjoy the fragrance of good relationship, social involvement in neighborhood and nation at large. Then there will not be any groaning or depression, broken spirits and marred and abused bodies. In Christianity, when a person is dying, every body stand around and sing spiritual songs or offer prayers      so that in that calm, divine atmosphere the soul or spirit can depart peacefully from amidst the loved ones. If we kill innocent babies or people in violence  for “ manufacturing saints “ , these agonized souls will bring revenge only. How can they bring blessings on the evil generation !! In Hinduism and Buddhism, they are reincarnated.  If the tortured souls incarnate, what can you expect from them. While alive, do people forgive those who torture them. Now will these souls with the power of incarnation keep on forgiving !  Specially when  they see the enactment still going on , that is the same old DRAMA of manufacturing saints. Therefore the easiest way is ; let each one become a saint by his or her own right, because everyone of  us is endowed with the characteristics of the Creator, whoever it is .If you automatically produce evil or malevolent actions, then that creator in whom you believe is not what you think it was. Then search the scriptures  until you find the real One.

Now don’t take for granted what others tell. Search for yourself and find out from your scriptures. Who has the divine qualities? If you want to do the same , do it . The choice is yours and the consequence also is yours. You cannot blame anyone for your actions. Just as Valmiki found out from his wife . Usually men do wicked things and say it is for my wife or for my family.  Therefore do the things that will make the family, children and grandchildren ,

proud of you and not a laughing stock for this generation and also for future generations

 When you lead a quite God fearing life, that influence the family and others even without your or their knowledge. But that make everyone enjoy the fruit of their own labor and make each one proud of themselves. The family members of those who commit  great offences bear all these silently . The victims are endlessly questioned. The one who commit the evil goes around without any feeling. Only the family members, the wife  or husband, or children or relatives and friends goes around  bearing silently the shame of their loved ones. Is there a remedy ?

If we ask another family whether they want to undergo the same ordeal, it is a vehement NO . But to clap hands and  to blow the whistle , there are plenty of people.
