THE BIBLE TRUTHS
JEREMIAH 29:7-14
Seek the peace of the city , where I have
caused you to be carried away captive
and pray to the Lord for it : for in
its peace you will have peace.
This great and wonderful truth we always
forget !
Whether you stay in your native country
or staying in another country for study
purposes or for employment, or for tourism, or whether you are prisoners or
hostages, we musty seek the peace of the
country and pray for that country.
Actually it sounds foolish and most idiotic
thing to do. Yet the truth is that when we do these sort of idiotic things for
the sake of others around us, we all are blessed and we all prosper !! If there is strife and war, we are all at risk except those who are in the
trenches !!How luxurious that life will be !!and how peaceful. Knowing all
these we still wan t to destroy other people and are happy when we are also
annihilated along with our victims. How vicious human mind is. The twin towers of
the US was bombed by the people who were living in the country and got trained
in the US. How faithful and loyal are people even when they get all the
benefits !! That is human wickedness.
Therefore we have to nurture the attitude of love, respect, gratitude
and co-operation in our children from childhood. When people feel in their heart that people
in other parts of the world has the same feelings of love, loss, pain,
hurt, honor, applause and felicitation
etc then they will be more good to each
other. Their pain and discomfort become theirs also, their jubilation , others
make their own
Jubilation and celebration. If this
attitude is adopted in families, and among political parties, within no time
the whole country will be at peace and in harmony
and prosperity naturally is the outcome !! All political parties come
together for the welfare of the nation, India. All communities come together
for the welfare of the nation , India. When all Indians feel and act as one nation, there is no
stopping of the prosperity, welfare , safety and security of even a small child
or old citizen or women or widows or
economically backward people. They
will all rise along with rising India and India will be the gem in the
whole world.
India can and must become a beacon for the non violence as it was previously
and a land without genetic or
communal disharmony . In this age , where desert is being converted in to
farm land and forests, and space travel is common event, communal harmony is so
simple and so easy to achieve . Directly or indirectly everyone depend on each
other, from water, milk, grain, pulses, vegetables etc.
We consume the rice and wheat which are
produced by the economically backward or lower castes , they pluck the fruit
from the fruit trees !!!
There are carpenters, plumbers,
electricians, gardeners hospital
workers, doctors, engineers, IT professionals etc. Once the mental
attitude alters, harmony sets in. Do any senior citizen refuse car, bus, train
or plane travel and insist on walking only because they do not like modern
gadgets and sophisticated equipment. Let
us change our attitude and conversation and converse in the proper direct manner and
with the mutual understanding and
straight forward talk , the whole society can reach higher levels of
perfection. If we seek peace for the city or village, we will do everything to
avoid strife and fight. If we are bent
on finding fault, there is no dearth of reasons based on which we can start
accusing one an other.
JEREMIAH 27:11-14
For I know the thoughts I think
towards you,
Thoughts of peace and not of evil,
To give you a future and a hope.
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray
to Me and
I will listen to you.
And you will seek Me and find Me
When you search for Me with all your heart.
How are our thoughts for our children , for
the spouse, for the family members,
Then in a larger scale, how are our
thoughts for our community and country.
The foundation for these relationship
starts with our spiritual foundation.
If the moral and spiritual foundation is
firmly grounded, then automatically our behavioral pattern follow suit. If immoral and wicked, we know the behavioral
outcome. Look the news paper and the news broadcast, which reveals the
instantaneous response and the outcome
as demonstrated on the streets. What can we do to make a change to this
behavioral pattern. In the democracy, we
ourselves are responsible for whatever happens. Government, police, defense are all doing
their utmost. But curtailing behavioral pattern in ordinary sensible persons is
their own prerogative. An other individual cannot make you throw stone unless
you yourself decide to do that. The stone is on the ground, You have to pick it
up voluntarily and willfully harm another person. The rude words of your mouth
is within your mind and only you can formulate
and coin such sentences that can hurt another person. How the crown of creation converse with each
other majestically in meetings, in Parliament, assembly, in TV discussions and
interviews, political rallies. Through all these we are molding our future
generation , since all can witness everything in the news media. How much we
should be careful in our presentations. If they are praiseworthy, our children
will make all the more praise worthy. If it is vulgar, our children can make it
even more vulgar because the media and
animation and presentation facilities are far greater than it was at any time
in the history. More advancement require much more careful and vigilant
handling. Giving a toy car and giving a
loaded pistol have tremendous repercussions. The more advanced we become, the
more careful utilization of all amenities is called for.
Our thoughts, for peace or for evil,
determines the course of our actions.
Does our thoughts and actions , give hope
for present and for future .
Every time army or military intervention is implemented, we know how
much we can hope for that land and its
people, for the children for their infra structure and developmental activities
, how much we can hope for their future and the future of those children, who
are so precious to their parents and families.
When
will the adults realize and act
as grown ups. Can a family live without fighting ? Of course. Yes. Can a
factory function well without fighting ? Of cours, yes. Can a state function
without strike and harthal ? Of course , yes .Therefore keep our thought and
the thinking process in such a way that it gives hope for oneself and for
others and a hope for a better future not for weeping and crying and all
untoward activities., yes. Can a country progress without fighting within the
borders and live just ordinary life without fighting with the neighboring
country ? Of course, yes. The European
countries have no walls to protect, they have only the check points and posts as
our toll gates, sometimes even smaller. May be because they have witnessed the
brutality of holocaust, French
revolution, world war 1 and 2, they got
fed up with war at their own border. In India, unless you make some derogative
comments on the passers by or even on you own spouse or children or nieces and
nephews ,
you feel that you have not shown your
superiority over others !! “ Mental torture is a game !! In the end nobody
said anything, nobody did anything, it is just what you thought it is. We were
simply joking !! “ A child who is made fun of in class or by rowdy rival peers can never forgive that even when
they grow into adulthood because children’s mind are not like the vulgar adult mind.
They are tender and deeply impressionable. That is why it is all the more
important that we inculcate basic high values in their tender hearts so that
once it take roots, it will never depart from them, Like the mathematics tables
and the alphabets, they will guide them and nourish all their thinking, and
activities throughout their life…
If
someone forget the alphabet, can he communicate with others at home or work place
or society . If someone forget the mathematics tables, all transaction in all fields come to a standstill. Therefore
keep our thought and our thinking process in such a way that it gives hope
for oneself as well as for others and
hope for a better future, not for weeping and crying and all untoward
occurrences in their lives. If we really try , it is not hard to think good for
others . In the beginning, we will find it hard to wish others good from the
depth of our heart . When everyone think good for others, there will not be any
rape, torture,
beating, persecution , stone pelting etc At
least we can try to do that with determination, controlling our thoughts (
little difficult in the beginning ),
controlling
the formulation of our sentences with choice elegant words to give
dignity to the other person. Slowly this will become the habit !! Then everyone
will feel the tranquility and peace within their mind which will encourage them
to do better with “ a song in their heart “ and the whole atmosphere will be so peaceful that the wild life and the
plants and birds will also make joyful chirps.
May the sound of bombing vanish from the
earth so that it can be replaced by the celebrating sound of all nations
simultaneously. How our thinking and
actions pollute or keep vibrant the atmosphere and the land.
