SUBERIN
“ SUPER CHARGED PLANTS COULD SLOW CLIMATE CHANGE “ - JOANNE CHORY
Your TED talk has
revealed why the glass houses. Green house plants produce so much more than the
plants in the open !!!
In the open , the
plants releases the CO2 into the air. In green houses , the CO2 is releases and is enclosed or
captured within the four walls , so that all the plants
can “ feast “ on
the abundant supply of CO2 ! The plants
in the green houses have shallow soil compared to the “ earth” below for other plants. Hence all the
CO2 produced and released are taken in
by the plants themselves which encourages them to use in large quantity and ,
more photosynthesis, and more production
of fruits and vegetables !
Simultaneously , the
released oxygen in abundance give increased boost for
photosynthesis !!! Hence more productivity .
How the roots grow
vigorously in hydroponics with the CO2 enriched water !!!
Unbelievable !
In the open, all
the oxygen released by the profuse growth of the foliage assisted by the “ suberin “ root system make the atmospheric
air oxygen rich ! We just enjoy it .
Slopes of hills
and mountains covered with simple grass with profuse long wild root system
brings out the excellent “ Suberin “ system .
1 They
produce more CO2 to enrich soil
2. They release
more oxygen to atmosphere.
3. The protect the
slopes from land slides .
4. They enhance the beauty of hills and
mountains which will otherwise be barren
and prone to landslides
5. This lavish root system make sure that
plenty of water percolate into the soil to revive all lakes and rivers .
Therefore whether
in green house, on plain fields or hills and mountains , this
“ suberin “system
of storage of CO2 in the soil can greatly contribute to food productivity,
climate change and beauty of earth and
health for the
earth’s inhabitants . Soil enrichment
as well as purification of air and provision of food done in one shot !!!!
