FARMER’S LOAN WAIVER SCHEME -
TIMING
It sounds very
good and encouraging that the government is doing great help to the farmers.
1. If only the timing of the issue of money is altered a little, it would
have produced abundant crop and results in others fields affiliated
to and complimentary to their crop .
Once all crop is
gone and there is no way to repay the
loan is a very pathetic heart breaking
situation. If we change he timing of giving the money, which anyway the government is doing year after year with
the plight of the farmers still
remaining in the same condition.
2. Why not give the money to start the crop.
Provided the water
and fertilizers are available, the farmers can take care of their crops without
further help from anyone .
They will be able
to produce abundant crop and will be able to repay the loan in easy installment
within five years.
This provide them
with necessary time to :
1 take care of
their family need from the income
2. they can save
up some money for the next years crop.
3. They can easily
pay back the loan money in easy installment without any burden within five
years.
4. Government can
take care of other farmers in the meantime.
5. Government can
help the same farmers with new ventures depending on their crop.
6. Government can
help the farmers to have small processing units.
7 Government can
set up cooling , freezing, facilities for them.
8. With the same money allotted every year,
let us progress on
the implementation and execution process
every year, instead of giving under the
same “
heading loan waiver “ .
3. This will give rise to other “ heading “ every
year about the progress the farmers are making on their own account , without
borrowing any more . Then the news paper will have a different “ progressive “
story about the farmers .Farm sector will bring in much more money to the
nation .
Farmers family
caricature will be there no more .
4. When we waive off the loan, their burden is over. Still the purse is empty, the bank balance is nil. Hence some initial money to start with, which any way the government will be distributing after the
crop failure . In short the " disaster management money " to be distributed wisely earlier so that " no disaster occurs " .
Prevention is better than cure . Initial money will be so little compared to the " burial money " after the suicide of the farmers . Once water is available, only seed and fertilizers are the only things required , which can easily be covered by the " initial money " distribution . Once disaster occurs, the cost and compensation is so much more .
