TWO TYPES OF BAPTISMS

. Mark 1 :4  baptism of repentance

2. Mark 1 :8   baptism of the Holy Spirit

Baptism of repentance brings out the result that  it will turn the heart of the  father to their children

And the heart of the children to the fathers

There by bringing in peace and harmony in the family which is the basic unit of society and from there it just encompass the whole nation in harmonious living  .

 When individuals are at peace, neighbours will be at peace and it just spreads.

When fear or love of God is in our spirit , we are in harmony with the Eternal Spirit. God being the Eternal spirit .

 Hence when those who feared the Lord, spoke o one another,

And the Lord listened and  heard them

So a Book of remembrance was written before Him

For those who fear the Lord 

And those who meditate on his name.

Just as father and mother love and listen to the needs of  children ,

The result o the baptism of the Holy Spirit  can be seen in the second chapter of the book of Acts and through out the new testament. The  RESULT IS EMPOWERING, COMFORTING, HEALING, SAVING AND STRENGTHENING. Never even once,  any body is attacked or any harm is brought upon any one. Some people cannot stand peace and harmony. They  do not like prosperity or peace. Different nature, different spirit . We cannot understand them. Even if there are no reason for strife, they will try to irritate some one to retaliate so that they can take out their venom on others. This is some personality traits which we can try to modify if we ourselves are willing to change. It has to come from your own heart and mind. No body else can force them to do it.  Once proper wisdom and understanding enter their minds, suddenly they will realize how nice it will be to live in harmony than in hatred. Then they repent about the lost days.

This is something like the understanding o the Law of gravity or law of displacement of water or the power of antibiotic or the power and rejuvenation when you are given blood or glucose transfusion. Suddenly you become aware of the refreshing nature of it.

When you are convicted of some fault which you have committed or not committed and then suddenly you are released with full freedom. How will you feel ? What great relief will you experience ? Same way when you are given a clean heart and mind which respond to the whole universe in tender love and admiration, you will feel the whole world has become vibrant with a new sense of wonder. You feel everything new and virtuous. You are at peace with yourself and with others.
