THE REFUGEE PROBLEM , EMPOWERMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The problem starts in one county and another country bear the brunt of it !!
The country which accepts them do it out of benevolence. Managing our own country's affairs is a herculian task. Then overnight accepting to cater to the welfare of thousands of people  a heavy responsibility. How can we try to simplify this.

Recommended  solutions.

1. Try rehabilitating them in SMALL GROUPS,  rather than allotting them to on single area.  Smaller groups in different localities will generate :
   1. mutual co-operation among the members
2.  management of smaller groups is easier to handle.
3.  The local community can help fewer people than helping thousands of people all atonce.
4.  confidence and loyalty among the locals and the  adopted ones will be stronger in a small group
5.  Just bring in some instruments with which people can work with and produce some goods which they sell and earn some income immediately.
( All these people were working in their home land till they were driven out. They have the skill, the knowledge , the capability,     the know how and the willingness to work.
  a. For those who can cook, provide them with the necessary grains, pulses, oil, masalas, fresh or dried or preserves vegetables, meat, fish , some utensils , burners,  gas lighter,  solar burners, etc. A minimum list of things can be avaible from the small restraunts or even from street venders or daba. Then people can make  food items and sell and make a living.

Initially a big container loaded with all necessary items can be given free of charge as the initial investment.
A big container full of ready to eat food items can be installed free of cost in locations so that they will have plenty to consume and regain their strength and vigor and vitality ( after their long struggle to reach this country ) and then with the raw materials and the instruments at their disposal , they can start their own production units and gradually  take root in their soil. In no time they become a great  asset to the nation !!

6 A big container loaded with medical supplies with doctor and nurses and other assissants caqn be given free of charge.
7   A tent with sewing machines with a container full of cloths, scissors, threads, needle, button, hooks, tapes,  hangers, stools, chairs etc can be given free of charge and those who have the skill can do the tailoring and sell the products

8. A tent with electical, solar, machine repair instruments can be provided and
and a container to keep the necessary spare parts to be kept from theft. Those who have the skill can continue their work in the n ew situation in the new country.

9 A large tent or several tents where children can come together and those who were teachers can continue their teaching here. Some containers can be used for keeping books, pen, pencil, rubber, instrument boxes, dictionaries,  etc. Now the i pads are wonderful devices for learning. The first provision of goods should be free and later they can modify everything  and charge fees, salary etc.

10.  Bore well or tube wells can be made within 2-3 days. That will automatically solve the water problem .

11  Grow bags can be  provided free of charge in the beginning itself so that within one month they will have a little bit of their own garden produce. The water they use in the kitchen can provide the necessasry water for their pretty little grow bags or for the plants or trees they wish to grow.

12.  Few solar ovens can be given free of charge with containers full of flour, sugar, butter or vanaspathi, egg, essence or spices, .  Those who have the skill to bake can bake and sell the cakes, biscuits, pastries, pies, enchillada, bololgnae,

13. Those who have the skill can make biriyani, noodles, savouries , muruk, mixture, gilebi, ladoo, puri, etc and sell them.

13.  Provide the raw materials and the equipments and equip them as soon as possible to fend for themselves. Then they will not be a burden for the country.

14.  Indirectly  agriculturists and industrialist are also benefited.  The production of the spare parts, products for export, etc are given a boost.

15.  Printing press of small kinds ??! , if it is given to them, our children will have their class books on time. Even when the second semister examination is over, they do not have their class books.
Children suffer. they get scolding from the parents, they get scolding from the teachers. When the exams are over and the results come, they  are so upset that they do not have good grades, though it is none of their fault, not the fault  of the parents, not the fault of the teacher, It is the fault of the management who ask for very high fees and who demand children to perform well and bring laurels for the school. Where do the money go ?? If we offer a small printing press for few unemployed, they may deliver the order on time  !! Nobody takes into consideration that there is scarcity of printing presses.

16. Flour mill . so that you can keep the grains and pulses for longer periods and grind them whenever  / ocassionally  so that the freshness will be retained and flour which is kept for longer periods  will be attacked by weevils and ants .

17.  Anywhere in the world, when there is refugee problem or flood, the first need to be met with is food. Once food is provided children as well as adults will have the energy, the boldness and the enthusiasm o face upto the situation. They will be then eager to solve the problem at hand.
With all our bumper harvest, and the preservation techniques , we have plenty of everything even perishable goods are well preserved. Therefore it wise to keep all these life saving things be kept in the preserves containers with solar power in the places where the likelihood  of its urgent need is warranted. Kilas- Manasarover land slide and flood , being a mountainous area , need such facilities, because every year thousands of people visit these places. It is worthwhile to keep some emergency  food, medical, woollen  shawls and garments, juices , glucose drips, etc as life saving commodities.
Being mountainous area, we can have single storied buildings  for storing these lifesaving items.
